About the Author
I have always been a storyteller, even as a child. I also taught middle school language arts for sixteen years. I love stories in multiple genres. So when I started writing my own stories, I couldn't stick to one genre as I simply had too many fun ideas that varied greatly from each other. I've written science fiction, a dark fantasy, dystopian, horror (including vampire horror) and fun cat novels. I've written long novels, short stories and lots in between. I have three book series, including Alien Cats. It's a trilogy and is finished now. As an author, I've learned to never say never. I can't promise that I won't think of another story line in the future. If so, I might have to revisit the wonderful world of Katonia! I also have two other book series that are a work in progress. One is my Vânător Vampire Hunters series. I am currently working on book 3. The other is my dystopian book series, Check Mate. I have written three books in that series so far.
My books can be purchased on multiple platforms including Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Smashwords, Kobo, and GooglePlay.
A special note about my cat books:
While I wrote my Alien Cats trilogy to be a fun science fiction fantasy, it was also a memorial for many of my special feline family members who I was blessed to have as part of my family. The cover of book 1 has a picture of Bootsie (the cat on the ground) and Soxy (the cat in the spaceship). My cat rescue novel, Let the Purring Begin: Sapphire's Tale, was inspired by my real cat, Ebony. Much of what happens in the book was based on things that really happened, either with Ebony or with my other rescued cats. Sapphire's rescue in the book is almost identical to how I rescued Ebony in real life. I wound up keeping Ebony and her kittens (yes, she was sweet enough to bring kittens with her, unbeknownst to me). There is a picture of Ebony and her kitten, Bootsie, on the back cover of the paperback. I still miss my precious kitties and will hold a special place in my heart for them forever, but I'm blessed to still have one rescue cat and am thankful for him!
A special note about my Check Mate series:
The first fictional novel I wrote was Check Mate in 2016. It was a fairly long book, enough so that I divided it into two sections: Submission and Redemption. After I finished Check Mate, I went on to other projects. But as time passed, I kept having a nagging feeling that I hadn't finished the story. There were too many questions about what would happen to the characters next. I decided to go back to the book and give it a second look. When I did, I realized there was so much more content I wanted to add to the existing story. I wound up doing so much revision that I knew I needed to separate the two parts of the story into two novels. I unpublished the original book and published the new version, which now included two books: Submission and Redemption. Once those were done, I was then able to continue the story. Thus, book 3, Retribution, came to life. It's looking like this will be a five-six book series by the time I finish it. I'm still toying with ideas for the title of book 4. I'm currently working on the next book in my vampire hunter series. I plan to alternate back and forth between the two series until they are both finished.
Most of my books have trailers. I need to make one for my Check Mate series. Hopefully, I'll be able to do that before too long. In the meantime, explore the other pages and check out the trailers for the other books. You can also find purchase links on the book pages. Thank you to all my readers. It's heartwarming to get positive feedback on my stories and novels. I always wanted to write a novel, but my teaching career kept me so busy that I wasn't able to do so until I retired. It's been a dream come true to be able to tell so many stories!
